Weekly Development Centre

Train every Friday with Adam McGuiness at our Development Centre at Gateshead Redheugh.

The Gateshead location is convenient for goalkeepers from across Gateshead and nearby areas such as Bensham and Dunston, as well as families travelling from Newcastle.

The weekly sessions give goalkeepers dedicated time to work specifically on their position, away from general team training. Coaching covers handling, shot-stopping, diving, footwork, positioning, distribution and decision-making, with exercises progressing into situations goalkeepers regularly face in matches.

Sessions are suitable for goalkeepers of all levels, helping newer players build a strong foundation while allowing more experienced keepers to refine the finer details of their game.

1-to-1 & Small Group Coaching

For goalkeepers who would benefit from more individual attention, EvoGK also provides 1-to-1 goalkeeper training in Newcastle, alongside small-group sessions.

The extra coaching time allows us to look more closely at the individual player and focus on the areas that will make the biggest difference to their game. That might mean improving a technical detail, working on positioning and movement, building confidence in decision-making or getting additional goalkeeper-specific training alongside club sessions.

Sessions can be adapted for players at different stages of their development, from beginners learning the fundamentals to club and academy goalkeepers seeking more focused work.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My son had fantastic experience on the EvoGK goalkeepers camp in Whitehaven. Day full of knowledge and skills with amazing Eric Steele and EvoGK coaching team.

Football camps often involve different positions but no necessarily focusing much on a gaolies, this was purely for goalkeepers only and my son said it was nice to be around other kids who understood how complex this position is and shared same passion.

We will definitely book again!

Massive thanks to James for organising this event 👏 👏👏

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My son has just returned home from 3 days of camps. Wednesday was the first time EvoGK held a camp in Whitehaven and it went absolutely brilliant everything from the coaches, Eric and the facility were spot on. Plenty of facilities to top up water bottles and also facilities to buy soft drinks and snacks if required. Thursday and Friday was held in the Beacon of Light Sunderland and he has attended these before and as usual it was absolutely brilliant.
All camps that are ran by James and the team at EvoGK are well planned, organised and executed.
I would recommend James and EvoGK to anyone who is wanting goalkeeper training/coaching

What an experience my son had today, when I first contacted James at EvoGk I didn't think it was possible to get EvoGK to hold their 1st ever camp in Cumbria and the 1st GK camp in Cumbria ever for any provider, but James made it happen and with doing that all the kids showed EvoGK the amount of talent that Cumbria has.

A massive thank you to Eric for attending.

Thank you for making a Great day for Noah and the rest of the kids.

Ps for anyone reading the above comments, the club had plenty of water facilities where they kids could fill up their water as well as signposted outdoor tap for refilling 👍

Great bunch of coaches who take the time to get to know the kids and work with them on areas they need to improve on

The setup, the calibre of coaches and the special guests along with the actual sessions really are second to none. This brand we are happy to promote wherever and whenever asked

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our daughter has attended the female camp at evogk for the past 3 years.
We travel from London to attend every year and the long journey is definitely always worth it. Our daughter spends her time at the camp learning from some incredibly experienced coaches, developing new skills, building her confidence and challenging herself every step of the way.
The camp is always so well organised, everyone is extremely friendly and we feel that every coach goes above and beyond to make sure every single girl is happy and getting the most out of the experience.
It has also been great to see our daughter form some lovely friendships, all the girls were so supportive and encouraging of each other all the time, it was great to watch her being surrounded by other goalkeepers who understand the hard work, dedication and love for the position! She was smiling the whole time. Our daughter finished another camp with lots of things to work on in her training, more confidence and even better memories. Thank you to all the coaches and organisers for another brilliant camp, everyone made it such a fun and supportive environment and our daughter has come away happy, inspired and already looking forward to the next one!
